September's NewsDear Friends,We hope this missive finds you all well. It's a rainy, first day of Fall in the Shenandoah Valley, perfect weather for sitting in front of a computer and writing a short newsletter. So here goes. "A Better Day A-Coming," our new CD, was released six weeks ago and we are pleased with how it has been received. We have tried to be diligent about getting the word out, and some would say we have been diligent to a fault. But if we don't tell people about it, who will? It not only has gotten the attention of radio programmers, but it has spent several weeks in the Top Ten of the "Folk Music" charts, Number 2 on the Folk Alliance chart last week. So, we send out a big thank you to the many broadcast professionals who have included "A Better Day A-Coming" on their playlists. And an even bigger thanks goes out to all of you who have ordered from our web site. There are other things going on in our lives - this COVID thing, for instance. So far so good for Robin and Linda. We hope this finds you well and safely negotiating the latest resurgence of this horrible virus. We're not hunkering down as close to home as we were during most of 2020, thanks to having been double vaxxed, but infections have more than tripled around us and hospital beds are filled with non-vaccinated patients, so we are now back to wearing our masks wherever we go. And you can count on us to be careful as we gear up to do some traveling in the next couple of months. If you haven't gotten vaccinated, please do. We enjoyed getting back in front of folks during August and we're looking forward to our upcoming gigs in Missouri next week. It's been a few years since we've been to Focal Point, the cultural mecca for Folk Music in St. Louis, and we've never been to West Plains before. So, on this trip we get to travel some familiar roads and some new ones. Judy and Keith in West Plains are celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary and are inviting all who care to attend the concert to be their guests. So, come if you're close. Bumper Sticker Of The Month: I just saw grey in my hair. I want to dye. Keep on the sunny side and remember, music makes you smarter.
